Folks, Not Guys!

You’ve probably noticed how common it is for people to use the term “Guys” (or even bros/dudes) when addressing others. More often than not, it’s used in a friendly context, but sometimes, it unintentionally leaves certain individuals feeling excluded or marginalized.

Think about it: not everyone identifies with being called “guys.” Some might feel overlooked or unseen when that term is used. That's why it's important to consider using more inclusive language that includes everyone.

Instead of defaulting to “guys,” let's make an effort to address a diverse group of people as ✨ FOLKS! ✨ This simple change can make a world of difference in creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels acknowledged and included.

P.S: Adjusting to this change might take some time, especially if you're used to a different term. We’ve all been there, but at the end of the day making someone feel included and welcome is worth the effort!
